01/18: Cole's Top 50 Movies of 2007!!!
Click to read my top 10 list (and the rest of the 50), along with my top 5 documentaries and my 10 worst of the year!
This year, Bobby and I made a commitment early on to see every film put out into major release, or anything released in more than 1000 theaters. While he came up a little short due to up to 10 films being released on particular weekends, I managed to see over 250 films released in theaters in the calendar year 2007--including every wide release. Many of the movies were so terrible I had to force myself to finish (a rule I stand strongly by), while others were so terrific I partook in up to 5 viewings. So listed below are my favorite 50 films of the year broken into three sections (the latter two being alphabetical), top 5 documentaries, along with my worst 10 of the year. So what is a top 10 list really worth? Well I guess not much, and listing them in order may be more of a formality or tradition rather than a necessity, but I sure do love doing it. Now take them for what they抮e worth, but this is what I call a love/hate relationship.
